Managing a multi-unit's settings in the main unit or in a sub-unit level

You can make changes to a multi-unit listing in two ways:

  1. At the main unit level: edit the main settings of the listing. Changes will apply to all sub-units.
  2. At the sub-unit level: edit the sub-unit settings individually. Changes will apply to the specific sub-unit.
  3. At the main unit level or a sub-unit level: edit the main settings or the sub-unit settings.

Where you make changes depends on what you're editing.

Certain settings must be identical across the entire listing and can only be edited via the main unit. For example, a property's pricing and amenities. Other settings are unique to each sub-unit and can only be edited per each unit individually, such as an apartment number.
In addition, some settings can be edited either at the main unit level or per sub-unit, depending on whether they are the same for the entire listing or differ per sub-unit. For example, listing descriptions and property owners.

See the tables below to understand where each setting can be edited.
