When creating a property, you define its maximum occupancy to specify how many guests can stay there at one time. This is important because occupancy determines whether your listings appear in a booking channel's search results. If a potential guest searches for accommodation for more people than the property's maximum occupancy, the listing won't be included in their search.
Follow the steps below to adjust your occupancy settings.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
- Click Properties.
-
Click the relevant property.
In the case of a multi-unit, select the main unit, not a specific sub-unit.
- In the left-side menu, under "Details & Layout", click Location & details.
- Click Edit next to "Property details".
- Under "Occupancy", use the up and down arrows to adjust the number.
- Scroll down and click Save.
