Due to how the different booking channels integrate with Guesty, changes to a reservation must be made in different places. For example, updating check-in/check-out or making other changes to a listing or reservation from certain booking channels must be changed in the channel itself, since making the change in Guesty will not update in the channel. In a similar manner, reservations from other booking channels must be changed in Guesty, since making the change in the channel will not update in Guesty. See below which reservations should be changed in the booking channel and which in Guesty.
Note:
Alterations to reservations will only sync with Guesty if there is still a connection in place. Listings must be marked as "Connected" in Guesty and show a similar status on the relevant booking channel as well.
Changes That Should Be Made in the Booking Channel
Reservations made on the following booking channels should be changed directly in the channel. The changes will then update in Guesty:
- Agoda
- Airbnb
- Booking.com:
- Before check-in, reservations for linked and published listings must be altered in Booking.com.
- Please note that any changes performed on Booking.com that move a guest from their booked listing to another property/room will not update on Guesty. You must update this manually in Guesty as well.
- Rentals United:
- Extending or shortening a reservation made through a Rentals United booking channel must be done in Rentals United or on the connected booking channel. Your Guesty dashboard will be updated with the relevant changes.
- SiteMinder:
- Any changes to a reservation must be made on the booking channel of origin and the updates will sync with SiteMinder and Guesty. Any changes made directly on Guesty might not be reflected on SiteMinder. After making the changes on the booking channel, we recommend refreshing the page to double-check that the changes have been made.
- TripAdvisor
Changes That Should Be Made in Guesty
Reservations made on the following booking channels should be changed in Guesty. The changes will then update in the booking channel:
- Vrbo
- Booking.com:
- After check-in, alterations to reservations should be made in Guesty.
- Misterb&b
- Guesty Booking Engine
- Manual reservations
- Rentals United:
- Only reservations made through Vrbo via Rentals United can be altered in Guesty.
Reservation Change Price Recalculation
When you make a change to a reservation, the price recalculates based on the most recent calendar prices of each night, not just newly added nights. This is the same if you are using a third-party pricing tool; the price for the entire reservation is recalculated.
