You can create a single manual reservation at any time, using the Multi-Calendar, the + button in the top navigation bar, or via the availability search. Once a reservation is confirmed, the booked dates are automatically blocked on all connected booking channels.
You can create reservations with past, current, or future check-in or check-out dates.
When creating a reservation, the default check-in and check-out times apply. If you need to change these, you can edit the reservation after it's been created.
Limitations
- You can only create reservations for active listings with "Listed" status.
- The maximum length of a single reservation is 730 nights.

Reservation blocks only cover partial check-in and check-out dates, as the guest checks in on the arrival date and checks out on the departure date, rather than occupying the property the entire day. Guesty includes both the check-in date and the check-out date as part of the reservation block.

For example:
April 16th is chosen as the "From" date and April 20th as the "To" date, the block covers part of April 16th and part of April 20th, with a total of four nights.

Create a reservation
Follow the steps below to create a reservation, either via the top navigation bar or via the Multi-Calendar.
Via the top navigation bar
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- Click + in the top right of the navigation bar.
- Select New reservation.
- In the pop-up, enter the reservation dates and select the property from the dropdown menu. Then, click Next.
- If the selected dates and property are available for booking, or if there is a flexible block, the dates are marked to the right of the property in the Multi-Calendar. Click New reservation or quote in the right side panel.
- If the button doesn't appear, the property is blocked for booking for the selected dates. Check why the property isn't available for booking, or click and drag the cursor across other dates you'd like to check. Alternatively, select a different property.
- If the guest had a previous reservation in Guesty, click Existing guest and select the guest from the dropdown menu. Otherwise, under "New guest", enter the guest's contact details.
- Click Source & status to enter the source of the reservation and update its status.
- Click Price to adjust the reservation's price components, including changing the accommodation fare, additional fees or taxes, or applying coupons.
- The accommodation fare includes pricing tool adjustments, such as rate plans.
- If you've set up multiple rate plans for the listing, one applies automatically. All active rate plans for the listing are available to select, even if the availability settings don't match.
- Add additional fees to the reservation. Create the fee first before adding it.
- Adjust the price of existing taxes or fees—either basic fees like extra person fees or additional fees like wifi fees.

When you edit additional fees, changes don't apply to future alterations you make to the reservation. For example, if you adjust the cleaning fee for a night, then add an extra night to the reservation, the added night has the original cleaning fee.
Tip:
Create complimentary reservations (when someone stays without paying) or test reservations (to see how your reservations look) by setting the accommodation fare and fees to zero.
- Click Extra information to fill in the values of the reservation's custom fields. Mandatory custom fields must be filled in to create a reservation.
- Once you've finished adding all the relevant details, click Book reservation.
Via the Multi-Calendar
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click

Locate the relevant property in the left sidebar. Then, click and drag the cursor across the dates you want to book in the respective row in the calendar.
Note:
- For a multi-unit, book the main unit first to ensure all policies and pricing settings are correctly applied. After confirming the reservation, you can then reassign it to the specific sub-unit you prefer.
- You can create reservations for past dates by selecting those dates in the calendar.
- If needed, adjust the reservation's dates under "From" and "To".
- On the right sidebar, click New reservation or quote.
- The button appears if the property is available for the selected dates, or if there is a flexible block.
- If the button doesn't appear, the property is blocked for booking for the selected dates. Check why the property isn't available for booking, or click and drag the cursor across other dates you'd like to check. Alternatively, select a different property.
- Follow the steps above.
