If you connected Vrbo after 19 Feb 2024, this action cannot be taken. If you started connecting prior to this date, follow the instructions below.
The list of fees that can be added to the reservation is based on how the additional fees were set up: If the listing has listing-level fees, then account-level fees will not be available to add to the reservation.
Read the important limitations associated with some booking channels and follow the instructions below to add an additional fee to a reservation manually.
Important:
For fees that are added manually in Guesty, you must ensure these payments are scheduled and collected manually.
Booking channel limitations
- Vrbo
Additional fees that are added to instant book reservations are not collected by existing Auto Payment rules and will have to be collected manually.
Additional fees that are added to non-instant book reservations are collected by existing rules.
For Vrbo reservations via Rentals United, additional fees are collected by existing Auto Payment rules.

Additional fees will not apply to reservations that are booked with a special offer on Airbnb.
Add fee to a reservation
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector, then select Operations mode.
- Click Reservations.
- Click the relevant reservation.
- In the gray banner at the top of the page, click Balance due / Payout.
- In the "Guest folio breakdown" section, click Add line item.
- Fill out the information in the pop-up:
- Under "category" select Additional Fee
- From the drop-down, select the additional fee.
- Enter the amount to charge the guest.
- Accept or change the realization date.
- Click Add.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click More then select Reservations.
- Click the relevant reservation.
- Click Balance due / Status in the gray banner at the top of the page.
- In the "Guest folio breakdown" section, click Add line item.
- Fill out the information in the pop-up:
- From the drop-down, select the fee.
- Enter the amount to charge the guest.
- To collect the payment right away, click the tickbox to Continue creating and collecting payment for this invoice item, then click Save & collect. Otherwise, click Add.
Once added, a fee cannot be removed from a reservation. You can adjust a line item in the guest folio to zero or a reduced amount.
