You can make changes to a reservation’s dates either via Guesty or through the channel which the reservation originated from. See here the cases in which you need to make a date change via the channel.

Booking.com

You can change a Booking.com reservation's check-in and check-out dates via Guesty, and update the reservation’s price, if relevant. A date change requires approval by Booking.com. Hence, in the steps below, instead of making an instant date change (by clicking “Change” in step 7), you will need to click “Continue”, and then “Submit Request”. Guesty will submit the date change request to Booking.com, and the reservation will be updated in Guesty once Booking.com has made the changes. 

Check your availability before submitting the change, as Booking.com does not automatically check if the new dates are available. Booking.com allows a date change to be made only after check-in, and once every 24 hours.

Changing the reservation’s dates via Guesty

Guesty Lite users:

If you connected Vrbo after 19 Feb 2024, this action must be taken in Vrbo. If you connected prior to this date, follow the instructions below.

  • Vrbo via Rentals United (Pro users)
  • Guesty direct integrations: Guesty Websites (Pro users), Guesty Booking Engine, and Guesty Booking Engine API (Pro users)
  • Google Vacation Rentals (Pro users), as reservations are received via the Guesty Booking Engine.
  • Manual reservations (made directly via Guesty)
  • Booking.com (only for reservations after check-in, and once every 24 hours)

Pro users Lite users

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. From the top navigation bar, click the mode selector, then select Operations mode.
  3. Click Reservations.
  4. Click the relevant reservation.
  5. To the right of "Summary", click the pencil icon.
  6. Click the check-in or check-out date, and select new dates. 
  7. To the right of “Summary”, click Change.
  8. In the "Payout" pop-up, fill in the relevant information. If you don't want the accommodation fare to be recalculated based on the new dates, use the arrows to the right of "Accommodation fare" to adjust the total accommodation fare (and not just the price difference). Otherwise, the reservation's prices will be recalculated, and the accommodation fare will be updated accordingly.
    • Contact us if you wish to update taxes or additional fees that you cannot edit.
  9. Click Alter reservation.

If you don't have our new guest folio breakdown, the reservation's prices will be recalculated and the accommodation fare will be updated according to the selected dates.

If you have the new guest folio, the updated dates will appear in the folio's nightly breakdown, and the nightly rates will be updated accordingly. Also, any additional fees or taxes (such as VAT) will be recalculated automatically as well and be updated in the folio.

If the dates are changed after check-in, the VAT price difference, for example, will appear on a separate line item in the folio, under the original VAT.
