Once your Airbnb account and listings are connected, either by importing, publishing, linking, or reconnecting, changes sync automatically between Guesty and Airbnb according to your sync type.
You might notice syncing discrepancies with your listing’s calendar availability, pricing, reservations, payouts, or guest communications. These are often symptoms of an incorrect account configuration or listing setup that you can easily fix.
For example, a suspended Airbnb account or an unlisted listing can cause syncing discrepancies. When you fix the root cause, other issues typically resolve automatically.
If you notice delays or issues lasting more than 24 hours, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Check if your Airbnb host or co-host account is suspended
Airbnb may suspend or deactivate an account for violating its community standards. If an account is suspended, the following Guesty features are blocked:
- Listing features won’t sync, such as the listing’s rates, availability, content attributes, reservations, and guest messages, including message automations.
- Your listings are removed from Airbnb search results and won’t be bookable.
- Airbnb temporarily withholds payouts for completed reservations.
- Upcoming reservations (confirmed or pending approval) may be canceled, and you may not receive compensation.
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
- When you login to Airbnb, you’ll be prompted to complete the “Review Your Account” procedure. If not, contact Airbnb’s Support to resolve the issue.
- Once Airbnb lifts your account’s restrictions, follow these steps:
Check if your Airbnb account is connected to Guesty
Data won’t sync between platforms if your Airbnb account isn’t connected to Guesty. Follow the steps below to check your account connection status.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
- Click Distribution.
- Click the Airbnb thumbnail.
- Locate the relevant account.
- If the status is “Connected”, your account is connected.
- If the status is “Disconnected”, click the dropdown arrow and select Connect. Follow the prompts to connect your account.
Check if your Guesty account was deactivated and reactivated
Your account may be deactivated due to a failed payment. Reservations created while the account was inactive won’t sync to Guesty.
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
Check if the listing is suspended by Airbnb
If your listing status is "Connected" in Guesty, but you’re redirected to an Airbnb landing page or an error 400 page when trying to access the listing page in Airbnb, it's likely suspended or removed. This can happen for violating community standards. The listing remains active, listed, and connected in Guesty, and billing continues. Contact Airbnb Support for assistance.
Once Airbnb reactivates the listing, follow the steps below to sync and re-list it.
- In your Airbnb account, check that the listing is “listed”.
- Go to Listings.
- Click Fix Now.
- Unlist and re-list the listing on Airbnb.
- Once the listing is relisted on Airbnb, unlist and re-list the listing in Guesty.
Check for Airbnb listing notifications about suspended listings
Once Airbnb reactives the listing, navigate to “Insights” in your Airbnb account, and click Listing issues to check if you have notifications about suspended listings.
Check if the listing is connected and listed
If the listing isn’t connected to Airbnb or it’s unlisted, its features won’t sync between Guesty and Airbnb.

Check your listing meets Airbnb's region requirements
In some locations, you must register your property before leasing it. In other areas, properties can't exceed an annual number of nights.
Ensure your listing meets local rules and regulations for its location.
Ensure Airbnb listings are displayed in Guesty
If you added or deleted listings in Airbnb after connecting the account to Guesty, you need to manually sync them. Follow the instructions below to ensure the listings on both platforms are accurately displayed.
Note:
This action only syncs which listings are displayed, to ensure Airbnb and Guesty are aligned. This action doesn’t sync data between listings on Airbnb and Guesty.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
- Click Distribution.
- Click the Airbnb thumbnail.
- Locate the relevant account.
- Click
and confirm the action in the pop-up.
- Refresh the page.
- Ensure changes have been applied to the account. It can take 3-5 minutes for a new listing to appear and a deleted listing to disappear.
Check if the listing is unlisted in Airbnb but listed in Guesty
When you import a listing from Airbnb, its status in Guesty matches its status in Airbnb. For example, if it's unlisted in Airbnb, it will also be unlisted in Guesty.
Once the listing is connected, listing or unlisting the listing via Guesty syncs the changes to Airbnb. However, if you unlist the listing via Airbnb, the change won’t sync to Guesty. In this scenario, you will need to re-list the listing in Airbnb.
Disconnecting an Airbnb listing from Guesty doesn't unlist or deactivate it in Airbnb. If you disconnect an Airbnb listing from Guesty, you must unlist or deactivate the listing directly in Airbnb, as it is no longer managed via Guesty.
