Disconnecting or removing an Airbnb listing's connection with Guesty

You can remove or disconnect an Airbnb listing from Guesty.

Disconnecting a listing vs. removing a listing

While the process to disconnect or remove a listing is the same, the end result is different.

If you disconnect a listing in Guesty, you will still be able to reconnect it in the future.

A disconnected listing will remain active on Airbnb, but you won't be able to manage the listing in Guesty anymore, because Guesty will no longer receive updates from Airbnb and any changes made in Guesty won't reflect in Airbnb.
The listing will still be active in Airbnb, unless you unlist it or delete it in Airbnb.

If you delete an Airbnb listing in Airbnb, it will instantly disconnect the listing from Guesty.
Once the listing has been removed Airbnb, it will be removed on the Airbnb distribution page on Guesty, too — since the listing is no longer available/listed.
In order to remove an Airbnb listing from Guesty's Distribution page, you'll need to sync the connection between Guesty and Airbnb (explained below) after you delete a listing in Airbnb.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
  3. Click Distribution.
  4. Click the Airbnb thumbnail.
  5. Click the relevant Airbnb account.
  6. Next to the relevant listing, click Connected.
  7. From the drop-down, select Disconnect.
  8. In the pop-up, click Disconnect.
    1. To view a disconnected listing, perform a hard refresh on the page.
      It may take a few minutes for the changes to update.
  9. If you want to remove your listing from the Airbnb distribution page in Guesty, you'll need to first delete your listing in Airbnb, and then sync your Airbnb account in Guesty.
    1. In Airbnb:
      1. Follow these Airbnb Help Center instructions.
      2. Before continuing on to the steps below, make sure your listing has been removed in Airbnb.
    2. In Guesty:
      1. In the top-right of the page, click the sync icon.
      2. In the pop-up, click Sync Account.
      3. Contact us if the listing has not been removed from the Distribution page after following the steps above.
