When you import, publish, link, or reconnect listings between Guesty and Airbnb, you can choose which sync settings to apply: full sync or limited sync. The sync type you choose determines whether to manage the listing's settings and content in Guesty or Airbnb, to help you keep your listings accurate and consistent across platforms.

Manage rates, availability, reservations, guest messages, and listing content, which includes description, property type, cancellation policy, booking policy, and amenities in Guesty.

Any changes made in Airbnb to these settings will be overwritten by Guesty at the next sync.

Changes to the attributes in Airbnb won't reflect in Guesty.

Note:

  • By default, imported listings are set to full sync.
  • When you publish or link a listing, you can select your preferred sync settings.
  • When you make changes to a listing's data, updates usually appear across platforms within a few minutes. During peak activity it may take up to 24 hours. Imported listings can take an additional 72 hours to sync the listing data, reservations, and guest messages to Guesty. 

Change the listing sync settings

Follow the instructions below to switch the sync setting on an Airbnb listing. 

Before you begin

  • Ensure your listing is "Connected".
  • Making changes to specific content attributes in Airbnb disables your ability to update the same attributes in Guesty, regardless of the sync type. If you change them in Airbnb, they'll be managed in Airbnb. You must unlock Airbnb locked attributes before proceeding.

Step by step

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
  3. Click Distribution.
  4. Select Airbnb.
  5. Click the name of the relevant Airbnb account. Alternatively, click View all accounts' listings
  6. In the listing’s row, click the Settings icon
  7. Click the dropdown menu under “Sync settings” and select Full sync or Limited sync.
  8. Click Save.

Tip:

You can track changes made to your listing using the Airbnb activity log. Use the log to track changes made to your listing. You can also check if an update was made via Guesty or Airbnb. The activity log is accessible only when logged in to Airbnb via the Host account.
