Steps to take before linking listings to Guesty

If you want to link your Booking.com listings to Guesty, after connecting your Guesty account to Booking.com, you need to take the following in Booking.com actions first.

Note:

To link a listing to Guesty, it must have at least 90 days of future availability.

1. Prepare your listing

  • Follow the instructions to list your listing on Booking.com.
  • Ensure your property's status in the Extranet is one of the following:
    • Open/bookable
    • Auto closed (availability)
    • Closed - ready to reopen
    • XML: Closed 
    • XML: Ready to open 
    • XML: Being built
  • Verify your property’s location via the Extranet.
  • Add at least 5 photos of your property.
  • Enter your property’s description, facilities, and room amenities.
    The description on your Booking.com property page is automatically generated based on the information you’ve provided in the Extranet.
  • Add rates and availability to your calendar.
  • Go to the Home tab in the Extranet. On the homepage banner, click Make my property live.
  • Follow the instructions to link your listing to Guesty.

2. Set Guesty as your connectivity provider

Follow the instructions below to set Guesty as your connectivity provider on Booking.com Extranet.

Step by step

  1. Sign in to your Booking.com account.
  2. Select the relevant listing/property.
  3. In the top menu, click Account.
  4. From the dropdown, click Connectivity Provider.
    This will direct you to the Connectivity Provider page.
  5. Click .
  6. Type in and select Guesty in the "Provider name" search box.
    Then, you'll be automatically directed to the next page (Step 7).

  7. By default, all of the provider management checkboxes will be selected.

    Important:

    The connection will only work if Rates & Availability, Reservations, Content, and Photos are selected.

    We highly recommend keeping all options selected.

  8. Select the Extranet access option, which is unchecked by default.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Follow the flow on Booking.com to complete the setup.

    Once you set the  Booking.com listing's connectivity provider as Guesty, Guesty will automatically approve the connection within an hour. Booking.com will send you an email once the connection is approved.

3. Set your rate plans

Pro users: Set one rate plan per listing in Guesty. When linking a listing, you determine the listing's rate plan(s) or cancellation policy via Guesty. This configuration will then override the rate plan(s) you set on Booking.com.

Lite users: Set one rate plan per listing in Booking.com before linking your listings. Then, set a cancellation policy in Guesty. Guesty will automatically replace the rate plan in Booking.com with the cancellation policy you configured in Guesty.
