During onboarding and connecting to Booking.com, your listing's address is automatically evaluated for compliance. If you have missing information, you will be prompted to provide the required information.
You must complete the requested fields to finalize the connection with Booking.com. You can provide this compliance data directly in Guesty during or after the publishing process, or enter it directly into your Booking.com Extranet.
Updating license details in Guesty
If you need to add missing information or fix an incorrect license number, use one of the options below.
Updating when publishing a listing
Complete the required license and tax data fields during the final confirmation step when publishing a Booking.com listing.
Updating after a listing is published
If you skip the license details during setup, or if Booking.com fails to validate the information you provide, your listing status changes to "Failed". Follow the steps below to resolve a failed status.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the side navigation menu, click
Marketing and sales to open the dropdown menu. - Under Channel management, select Distribution.
- Click the Booking.com thumbnail.
- Click directly on the connection error displayed on the failed listing.
- Click Fix now to open the information prompt.
- Enter the requested missing license or tax data.
- Click Save.
Updating from the property page
Update the required information directly from a specific listing’s settings. Follow the steps below to update the relevant property.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the side navigation menu, click
Properties.
- Click the relevant property.
- In the left submenu, click Owner and license.
In the “License regulations”, click Edit.
Note:
Clicking this field manually triggers the Booking.com License API to pull and display the exact data fields required for that location.
- Enter the license number.
- Click Save.
Updating via Booking.com’s Extranet
If Booking.com or Guesty can’t validate the data or if you encounter persistent errors, follow the steps below to temporarily bypass the AP via Booking.com’s Extranet.
Step by step:
- Log into your Booking.com Extranet.
- Enter the license details.
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the side navigation menu, click
Marketing and sales to open the dropdown menu. - Under Channel management, select Distribution.
- Click the Booking.com thumbnail.
- Click the Booking.com thumbnail.
- Click Retry on the failed listing to sync the updated status.
