Applying a Markup Per Account

You can add markups to make sure booking channel fees are covered. The markup will apply to the listing's nightly rate, base price, and weekend base price, as well as the extra person fee. Follow the instructions below.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top menu, click Financials.
  3. From the drop-down, click Financial settings.
  4. In the menu to the left, click Markups
  5. To the right, click Edit.
  6. Under "Default value for future channels", set a value to apply to future booking channels that do not have a specific markup.
  7. Under each booking channel, edit the markup and note that for Misterb&b listings, the markup is the percentage set for Guesty reservations, which are Booking Website and manual reservations.
  8. Click Save.
If the resulting price is not a whole number, Guesty will round it up to the nearest whole number. For example, if a 3.5% markup is added to a nightly rate of 51 USD, the resulting price will be 51 x 1.035 = 52.785, and Guesty will round that up to 53 USD.
