In Guesty, roles and permissions apply at both the Main HQ and sub-account levels. The permissions on the Main HQ account always override those set on any sub-account.
- If a user's role grants access on a sub-account, but the Main HQ account restricts that access, the user cannot access the restricted feature.
- Users must have the correct roles and permissions assigned to them on the Main HQ account to gain access across all connected sub-accounts.
Important:
If a user does not have a role allowing access on the Main HQ account, permissions granted on sub-accounts will not apply—even if those are less restrictive.
For example, if you assign the "Owner relations manager" role to a user on a sub-account, but the user does not have this role (or a more permissive one) on the Main HQ account, they cannot view the "Owners" tab in any sub-account.
