Publishing a listing is the action to take when you have a listing in Guesty and you want to recreate it automatically in Airbnb.
This article explains how to publish a listing and the requirements needed to ensure your listing is published successfully.
Once you publish a listing, it can take up to 24 hours for Airbnb to approve.
Before you begin
- Connect your Airbnb account to Guesty.
- Create a listing in Guesty.
- In several regions, you must register your listing and/or obtain a license. If a license is required, publishing will fail. In this case, access the listing page in Airbnb, enter your license, and attempt to publish again.
- Ensure your pricing, availability settings, and content comply with Airbnb’s requirements.
Publishing checklist
Avoid publishing a listing that was previously flagged, suspended, or permanently deleted by Airbnb. This may lead to your Airbnb account being removed.
- Check Airbnb's responsible hosting article for regional hosting prerequisites.
- All address fields in Guesty must be filled in (street name, street number, country, state, and zip code).
- If you set a listing type to "Entire home/apt", you must add an apartment number in the listing address.
The listing in Guesty must be in listed status. Also, it must not already be connected to an Airbnb listing.
Ensure your minimum and maximum number of nights per stay is aligned with regional requirements.
- If you set a property type to Apartment, you must add an apartment number.
- For a multi-unit, use property types: Apartment, Condominium, or Dorm.
Publish a listing to Airbnb
Follow the steps below to publish your listing.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the side navigation menu, click
Marketing and sales to open the dropdown menu. - Under Channel management, select Distribution.
- Select the Airbnb thumbnail.
- Click Connected accounts. Next to the relevant account, click
Publish listing. - Select the relevant listing from the dropdown menu.
- Click Next.
- Under Booking settings, select Instant Booking or Request to Book.
- Select a cancellation policy.
- Click Publish.
The listing status will change to Pending. Once approved, it will change to Connected. The listing should appear on Airbnb within 24 hours.
