You can deactivate and reactivate a listing at any time. When a listing gets activated, Guesty will manage the listing, and billing for the listing will start.
Learn about the different ways to disable a listing in Guesty.
Before you begin
Note the following before deactivating a listing:
Billing
- Confirmed reservations made before deactivation are billed regardless of check-in date.
- You stop being billed within 30 days of deactivation.
- Each time you activate a listing, a new charge applies.
-
Unlisting a listing doesn't stop billing.
- Once you deactivate a listing, you can no longer list or unlist it on channels. The listing becomes "frozen". Make sure the property is in the right status on your channels before you deactivate. To make changes after deactivation, you must reactivate the listing and will be charged again.
Calendar
Deactivating a listing deactivates all calendar automations and features such as Smart Calendar Rules. Reactivating the listing doesn't automatically reactivate Smart Calendar Rules.
Booking channels integrations
A deactivated listing still appears in connected booking channels. To remove it, unlist the listing and wait 15 minutes before deactivating it.
Reporting and analytics
- Reservations for deactivated listings don't appear in custom reports.
- Deactivated listings no longer show in the Multi-Calendar.
- Deactivating a listing removes its data from Analytics.
Display in the Multi-Calendar
A deactivated single unit or a sub-unit doesn't appear in the Multi-Calendar.
For an active multi-unit listing:
- If there are any active sub-units assigned to it, the multi-unit will appear in the Multi-Calendar with the active sub-units only.
- If there are no active sub-units, the multi-unit will appear in the Multi-Calendar with an allotment of "0".
For an inactive multi-unit listing:
- If there are any active sub-units, the multi-unit will appear in the Multi-Calendar with the active sub-units only.
- If there are no active sub-units, the multi-unit and its sub-units will not appear in the Multi-Calendar.
