Disconnecting a listing in Guesty

When a listing is disconnected in Guesty, it remains in the integration page but is no longer connected to the booking channel. This means that any updates made on the listing, such as changes to a reservation and associated guest messages, no longer sync between platforms.  

Availability for a disconnected listing in the booking channel depends on the channel. For example, in Booking.com and Expedia, a disconnected a listing removes it from search results, making it unbookable. In Airbnb and Vrbo, a disconnected listing remains active and bookable unless additional action is taken in the channel. Refer to the table below to understand how a disconnected listing is managed in the booking channel.

A disconnected listing is marked with a "Not connected" status but remains active in Guesty and billing for it continues. Listings must be disconnected individually per channel and can be reconnected in Guesty at any time.

Airbnb

A disconnected Airbnb listing remains active in Airbnb and connected in Guesty unless you unlist or remove it via Airbnb. A listing also remains active if Airbnb suspends or pauses a listing that violates Airbnb’s Trust and Safety concerns or other policies. Billing for active listings continues. The listing won't be bookable in Airbnb but will be shown as listed in Guesty. Contact Airbnb Support for further assistance. Booking.com

A Booking.com listing that is a complex is shown in the integration page in Guesty in multiple rows, with each row representing a room type in the complex. You must disconnect each room type individually.

Disconnecting a Booking.com listing in Guesty removes the room from the Booking.com Extranet. Once you disconnect a listing, you can remove it from Guesty.

Expedia

The process for disconnecting an Expedia listing depends on its type. Follow the instructions to disconnect a listing from Expedia according to its type.

Rentals United

Follow the instructions to disconnect a listing via Rentals United.

SiteMinder
Listings can only be disconnected via SiteMinder.
Trip.com / Reconline

To make your listing unsellable in these booking channels, disconnect all the listing's rate plans. There is no option to remove a connection between a Guesty complex and a Hotel ID fir these channels. If you need to remove the connection entirely, contact your booking channel account manager and ask to disconnect Guesty/YieldPlanet as a provider from your account.

Vrbo

Once the listing is disconnected in Guesty, it is deactivated and unusable under the same Vrbo account in Guesty.

Disconnect a listing

Before you disconnect a listing, be sure to unassign it from any active promotions it to prevent syncing issues if you want reconnect it later. Then follow the instructions below to disconnect a listing.

Pro users Lite users

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
  3. Click Distribution.
  4. Click the relevant booking channel thumbnail.
  5. Click the relevant account.
  6. Next to the relevant listing:
    Airbnb and Booking.com: Click Connected and select Disconnect from the dropdown menu.
    Vrbo: click the Settings icon.
    Other booking channels: click the horizontal ellipsis under the "Actions" column and click Disconnect.
  7. In the pop-up, click Disconnect.

To view a disconnected listing, perform a hard refresh on the page. It may take a few minutes for the changes to update.

Errors when disconnecting a listing

Contact us if you encounter the following errors while trying to disconnect a listing:

  • The listing is stuck in "Pending".
  • The listing's disconnection has "Failed" without the option to remove it.
