Importing Booking.com reservations when linking a listing

When you link a listing to Guesty, future Booking.com reservations are automatically imported in non-XML format with basic details like guest name, reservation dates, and room rates. Channel commission isn't included for imported non-XML reservations.

Reservation overlaps and double bookings can sometimes occur as imported reservations occupy the dates on the calendar even if the dates are already blocked, overriding manual blocks or booked dates. Guesty will notify you of conflicts during the linking process. It is important to review these carefully before completing the connection.

Important:

Double bookings can occur due to timing discrepancies in the booking process if reservations are made within 10 minutes of each other.

Add the following details manually in Guesty for imported reservations:

  • Guest details such as email addresses and phone numbers
  • The number of guests
  • Guest communications prior to the reservation import
  • Guest credit card details, only as active Virtual Credit Cards (VCC), will be added to imported reservations automatically.

    Note:

Bank transfer payments are created automatically once Guesty is notified by Booking.com.

  • Reservation alterations made via Booking.com, such as canceling a reservation, updating the accommodation fare, etc
  • Additional fees or extra charges: Only the total room rate is synced. Manually update the invoice in Guesty if Booking.com shows separate line items

For any updates to imported reservations not covered in the list above, contact us.

Reservations created after linking your listing will be generated in an XML format with full details. Reservations with past dates won't be imported to Guesty when you link a listing.
