Custom reports: Exported CSV file was not received

Important:

Guesty Lite users can only export a CSV file of their Reservations report. Also, only a limited list of filters is available.

You can export a CSV file of your reservations, listing, or task reports at any time. The file will be sent to you by email. If you've received an email to advise that the file could not be created or you have not received an email at all, follow the troubleshooting steps below.

The file size

The amount of data being generated may be preventing the CSV file from being created. If the report contains a large amount of data, we suggest adding more filters to the report to reduce the amount of the data. Follow the instructions below.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
  3. In the top menu, click Reservations, Properties, or Field Operations > Tasks.
  4. Next to "Filters" on the left side, click the icon.
  5. Click the relevant filter.

    Tip:

You can also search for a filter. Click Search and enter the relevant text.

  6. Customize the filter by entering the relevant information.
  7. Click Add.
  8. Click Save as New custom report in the top-right.
  9. Enter a name for the report.
  10. Click Save.

Note:

The filters you add will appear to the left of the icon. Click any other existing filters and remove them by clicking Remove in the pop-up.

The sorting of columns

Pro users only:

You can add columns to a report and sort them in a certain order. For example, display the most recent check-in dates at the top of the report, or see the listings in alphabetical order.

When changing the sorting, certain columns may take longer for Guesty to process, which can prevent the file from being generated. To resolve this, try sorting the report by a different column before exporting the CSV file. Follow the instructions below.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
  3. In the top menu, click Reservations, Properties, or Field Operations > Tasks.
  4. Click the column name to sort the table according to that column.
  5. Click Save as new custom report in the top-right.
  6. Enter a name for the report.
  7. Click Save.

Technical issue

The file may not have been created due to a technical error. Try exporting the CSV again a few minutes later. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact us.
