Managing tasks reports

Task reports allow you to create customized views with filters to suit your needs. Custom reports for tasks can be viewed, downloaded, or shared at any time. 

Pro users: Account users with access to limited properties can’t view tasks not associated with those properties, including tasks that are not assigned to any property. To enable access to these tasks, either assign them to the user’s properties or associate them with all properties.

Follow the instructions below to create, view, share, download, or delete a tasks custom report.

Creating a custom tasks report

Pro users Lite users

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. From the top navigation bar, click the mode selector, then select Operations mode.
  3. Click Field Operations, then select Tasks.
  4. Use filters and/or columns to adjust the displayed report.
    • Too add a filter, click the plus icon next to "Filters", and select the desired filter. Enter the relevant information, then click Add. To edit or remove a filter, hover over the name of a filter at the top left of the report, and click the pencil icon to edit the filter, or X to remove it.
    • To add a column, click Columns at the top right, and mark the checkboxes of the columns you'd like to add or remove.
  5. Click Save as at the top right of the report.
  6. Add a name to the report, then click Save.

Tip:

Mark a report as a "Favorite" by hovering over it and clicking the star to the right. It will be added to the "Favorites" section of the views menu.

Viewing a custom tasks report

You can view a saved custom report at any time.

Pro users Lite users

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. From the top navigation bar, click the mode selector, then select Operations mode.
  3. Click Field Operations, then select Tasks.
  4. Click the downward arrow next to the name of the current report being presented, above "Filters".
  5. Select the relevant report from the list.

Sharing or downloading a tasks report

Follow the steps above to view the report. At the top right, click to share or  to download the report. If you choose to share the report, select the user or contact to share with. You can add a message and choose whether to share the report just once or on a repeating basis.

If you choose to download, an email will be sent to the email address saved in your profile settings, with a link to download the exported file.

Tip:

exporting HH:MM values to CSV may cause formatting issues. To resolve it, convert the values from decimals to HH:MM:SS values. Follow the instructions below.
  1. Divide the hours (in decimal format) by 24. This will transpose the value to days (in decimal format). Example: =M2/24
  2. In the top bar, click Format, Number, and then Duration. The values will be displayed in HH:MM:SS format.

Deleting a tasks report

Only custom reports can be deleted. Default reports displayed in your Guesty system cannot be deleted.

Pro users Lite users

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. From the top navigation bar, click the mode selector, then select Operations mode.
  3. Click Field Operations, then select Tasks.
  4. Click the downward arrow next to the name of the current report being presented, above "Filters".
  5. Hover over the custom report you want to delete and click the trash can icon.
  6. In the pop-up, click Delete.
