Managing tasks reports

Task reports lets you create customized views with filters to suit your needs. Custom reports for tasks can be viewed, downloaded, or shared at any time.
Follow the instructions below to create, view, share, download, or delete a tasks custom report.

Creating a custom tasks report

Follow the instructions below to create a report by exporting a tasks view: 

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. From the top navigation bar, click the mode selector, then select Operations mode.
  3. Click Field Operations, then select Tasks.
  4. You can add filters and/or columns to adjust the displayed default report.
    • To narrow down the tasks being displayed, you can add filters to the report. Click the plus icon next to "Filters", and select the desired filter. Fill in the relevant information, then click Add.
      • Repeat the step to add more filters to the report.
      • If you'd like to edit or remove a filter, hover over the name of a filter, displayed to the right of "Filters" at the top left of the report. Click the pencil icon to edit the filter, or X to remove it.
    • To extend the information being displayed for each reservation, you can add columns. Click Columns to the top right, and mark the checkboxes of the columns you'd like to add. 
      • If you'd like to remove a column, click Columns and uncheck it.
  5. Click Save as at the  top right of the report. Add a name to the report, then click Save.

Tip:

You can mark a custom view as a "Favorite" by hovering over it and clicking the star to the right. It will be added to the "Favorites" section of the drop-down.

 

Viewing a custom tasks report

You can view a saved custom report at any time.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. From the top navigation bar, click the mode selector, then select Operations mode.
  3. Click Field Operations, then select Tasks.
  4. Click the downward arrow next to the name of the current report being presented, above "Filters". Select the relevant report from the opened list.

 

Sharing a tasks report

Pro users Lite users

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. From the top navigation bar, click the mode selector, then select Operations mode.
  3. Click Field Operations, then select Tasks.
  4. Select the relevant report you'd like to share by clicking the downward arrow next to the name of the current report being presented, above "Filters".
  5. Click at the top right of the tasks report.
  6. Select the relevant user/contact, add a message, and choose whether to share the report once or to repeat.
    • If selecting "Repeat", set the day(s) and time for sending the report.
  7. Click Share.

 

Downloading a tasks report

Pro users Lite users

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. From the top navigation bar, click the mode selector, then select Operations mode.
  3. Click Field Operations, then select Tasks.
  4. Select the relevant report you'd like to share by clicking the downward arrow next to the name of the current report being presented, above "Filters".
  5. To the top-right, click the icon.
An email will be sent to the email address saved in your profile settings, with a link to download the exported file.

Note:

exporting HH: MM values to CSV might cause formatting issues. To resolve it, you can convert the values from decimals to HH: MM: SS values. Follow the instructions below:
  1. Divide the hours (in decimal format) by 24.

    • This will transpose the value to days (in decimal format).

    • Example: =M2/24

  2. In the top bar, select Format, Number, and then Duration.

    • The values will be displayed in HH: MM: SS format.

 

Deleting a tasks report

Important:

Only custom reports can be deleted. Default reports displayed in your Guesty system cannot be deleted.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. From the top navigation bar, click the mode selector, then select Operations mode.
  3. Click Field Operations, then select Tasks.
  4. Click the downward arrow next to the name of the current report being presented, above "Filters".
  5. Hover over the custom report you want to delete and click the trash can icon.
  6. In the pop-up, click Delete.
