Steps to take before linking Booking.com listings to Guesty

After you connect your Guesty account to Booking.com, follow the steps below before linking your Booking.com listings to your properties in Guesty.

Linking your Booking.com listings to Guesty ensures your property data and reservations stay synchronized. This process requires configuring settings in both the Booking.com Extranet and your Guesty account.

1. Prepare your listing in Booking.com

Before connecting to Guesty, ensure the Booking.com listing meets all channel requirements to prevent sync errors.

  1. Confirm the property status in the Extranet is set to one of the following:
    • Open/bookable
    • Auto closed (availability)
    • Closed - ready to reopen
    • XML: Closed 
    • XML: Ready to open 
    • XML: Being built
  2. Verify your property’s location in the Extranet.
  3. Add at least five photos of your property.
  4. Enter your property’s description, facilities, and room amenities. Booking.com automatically generates the public description from these details.
  5. Add rates and availability to your calendar.
  6. Navigate to the "Home" tab in the Extranet and click Make my property live on the homepage banner.

2. Set Guesty as your connectivity provider

Once your listing is correctly configured on Booking.com, set Guesty as your connectivity provider on the Booking.com Extranet. This will ensure your listing's rates, availability, and reservations sync with Guesty, enabling you to manage your listing from Guesty.

 Follow the instructions below to set Guesty as your connectivity provider.

Step by step

  1. Sign in to your Booking.com account.
  2. Select the relevant listing.
  3. In the top menu, click Account.
  4. From the dropdown, click Connectivity provider.

    This will direct you to the "Connectivity provider" page.

  5. Click Search.
  6. Type in and select Guesty in the "Provider name" search box.

    You'll be automatically directed to the next page:

  7. By default, all of the provider management checkboxes are selected.

    Important:

    The connection will only work if Rates & Availability, Reservations, Content, and Photos are selected.
     

    We highly recommend keeping all options selected.

  8. Select the Extranet access option, which is unchecked by default.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Follow the instructions on Booking.com to complete the setup.

    Once you set the  Booking.com listing's connectivity provider as Guesty, Guesty automatically approves the connection within an hour. Booking.com will send you an email once the connection is approved.

Note:

To link a listing to Guesty, it must have at least 90 days of future availability.
