Sending a check-in form to guests

Want to find out more details about a guest before their stay? Create a check-in form to gather information prior to their arrival. Once you've created your check-in form template, you can easily send it to guests. There are 2 ways to send check-in forms. Choose from the following options:

Important:

  • Some booking channels block links sent to guests if their reservation is not yet confirmed.
  • Booking.com does not allow links to be sent in any messages to guests. See more information here.
  • Check-in forms can be sent manually or automatically within 24 hours of check-in. After 24 hours, the check-in form will expire, and the guest will no longer be able to fill it out.

Send a check-in form in an Automated Message

Automate the sending of check-in forms by adding the variable {{checkin_form}} in an Automated Message template. A link to the form will be automatically generated inside the message when it's sent.
Example     

Hi Guest,

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our Luxury Apartment. We kindly request that you complete the following form in advance of your stay.

{{checkin_form}}

Regards,
Host Name

Tip:

Check-in forms can capture flight and transportation information from guests. Use variables {{flight_number}} and {{transportation}} in Automated Messages to personalize them.

Send a check-in form manually

You can manually send a check-in form to guests with confirmed reservations or pre-confirmed reservations, which are in "Inquiry" or "Reserved" status. Follow the steps below to manually send a check-in form to a guest.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the Inbox icon to the left.
  3. From the left sidebar, click Guests Inbox.
  4. Select the relevant guest's conversation from the conversations list.
  5. In the widget sidebar on the right, click the  icon.
  6. Click Send check-in form.
