Why are my legacy rental agreements and check-in forms no longer working?

Important:

Legacy rental agreements and check-in forms are now deprecated. Use the Guest App to manage these documents, or contact your account manager to learn about our paid solution.

To get started, follow our guide below to transition to the Guest App.

This update includes the following changes:

  • Guest-facing links for these documents stop working.
  • Dynamic variables stop syncing.
  • The "Rental agreement" and "Check-in form" tabs are removed from the "Document manager".

Access historical data

This change affects new documents only. Your historical data remains safe. You can still access:

  • Historical status reports
  • Previously submitted guest or reservation data
  • Old links

Switch to the Guest App

Set up rental agreements and check-in forms in the Guest App to continue collecting information and signatures. The Guest App provides a centralized guest experience, improved reliability, and flexibility for future updates.

Watch our step-by-step webinar to help you transition. It explains the setup process and the benefits of the Guest App.

Guest App setup checklist

Follow this checklist to ensure your transition is smooth and that guests receive the information they need.

Create a Guest App

First, configure the Guest App and its features.

Update your workflow

Disable legacy automations and remove outdated messages to avoid conflicting flows.

  • Replace old Check-In Form and Rental Agreement message conditions:
    • "Agreement completed" condition for Rental Agreement
    • "Check-in form completed" condition also works for the Guest App. However, if you have multiple Guest Apps, use "Guest App check-in form submitted" condition.

Test your guest experience

Verify your configuration by testing the guest flow yourself.

  • Complete check-in like a guest.
