How a reservation's total payout amount is calculated

A reservation's payout is calculated based on the following:

Accommodation Fare (plus or minus adjustments)
Weekly and monthly discounts
Cleaning fee
Extra person fee
Markups or markdowns
Channel commission
Taxes

In the guest folio, the sub-total is calculated before taxes, and the total after taxes. The guest folio total equals the payout amount.

If you see a discrepancy between a reservation's total payout and the guest invoice total, check the following:

Taxes: Check that the value on the booking channel matches the value in Guesty.
Discounts: Check that the weekly and monthly discounts in Guesty match the discounts on the booking channel.
Markups: Check that the listing's markup is applied to the relevant booking channel.
Channel commission: Check that you are accounting for channel commissions in Guesty and that the percentages are accurate.
