Adding photos of your listing in Guesty can provide a clear and appealing visual representation of the property, attracting potential guests to make a booking. The photos will be synced and displayed on the listing's page in the connected channel.
It can take up to 24 hours for new photos to sync with a booking channel.
Listings connected to Airbnb
Manage your photos in Guesty if your listing has a Full sync setting. In this setting, photos in Airbnb will be overridden by the ones you have in Guesty. If you set a Limited sync, manage your photos directly in Airbnb, and they won't sync to Guesty.
Pro users can change the listing's sync settings from Full sync to Limited sync, and manage all content attributes, including the listing photos, in Airbnb.
Beta users:
You can assign specific photos to rooms within the listing, as described in the instructions below. Assigned photos will sync to the "Where you'll sleep" section on the Airbnb listing page.
Additionally, a photo tour section on Airbnb's listing page can be created, allowing the guest to "visit" the property and understand what each room and space looks like. The photo tour will be created in Airbnb only in the following conditions:
- All the listing's photos in Guesty must be assigned to rooms or spaces.
- All the rooms and spaces in the listing's room arrangement must be assigned with at least one photo (no "empty" spaces).
- You haven't added spaces in Airbnb that don't exist in the listing's room arrangement in Guesty (such as kitchens, pools, patios, and gyms, that are not supported in Guesty).
A listing's photo tour cannot be imported from Airbnb to Guesty. It must be configured again in Guesty, and then it will be synced to Airbnb, replacing your existing photo tour.
Non-Beta users:
If you want to hide the photo tour from the listing page on Airbnb, unassign the photos from their assigned rooms directly in Airbnb.
Listings connected to Vrbo
It can take up to 24 hours for photos to sync between Guesty and Vrbo.
Pro users:
Manage your photos in Guesty.
Lite users:
If you connected to Vrbo after 19 Feb 2024, manage your photos directly in Vrbo. If you connected to Vrbo before this date, manage your photos in Guesty.
Follow the instructions below to upload new photos, assign them to rooms, and add their captions.
Before you begin
Check whether you need to manage your listing’s photos in Guesty or the connected channel. If you need to manage them via Guesty, ensure they meet the following channel requirements.
File type
Accepted file types are:
- JPEG
- JPG
- PNG
- GIF
Photo resolution
The minimum resolution supported by Guesty is 1280x720 px. We recommend using a resolution of 1920x1080 px for a full HD display.
- For Airbnb, a photo resolution must not exceed 1920x1080px. A higher resolution will cause a listing not to be connected.

- For Vrbo via Rentals United, the required resolution is 1024x768.
File size
When creating a listing in Guesty, you can upload photos with a file size of up to 5MB each. Once the listing is created, you can add additional photos, with each photo having a file size of up to 25MB.
- For Airbnb, the file size must not exceed 4MB. Bigger files will cause a listing not to be connected.
- For Vrbo, the maximum file size is 20MB.
