In Guesty, you can send a quote to a guest through the Inbox or Multi-Calendar. A link to the quote is sent to the guest in an email, allowing them to review their options before booking a reservation.

When you send a quote, you decide whether to set the reservation status to Reserved or Inquiry (to reserve the listing or leave it vacant, respectively). If the guest approves the quote, the reservation status instantly changes to Confirmed.

The quote settings allow you to choose what information the guest must provide or agree to before booking. Review the options below to ensure your quotes are sent the way you want them to.

Payment requirements

By default, guests are asked to enter their credit card details to secure their booking. If you keep this setting on, you'll need to connect a payment processor to Guesty to collect their payment.

You can also disable this requirement. If you choose this option:

Set quote requirements

Follow the steps below to configure your quote settings for house rules, terms & conditions, and payment methods.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Setup mode.
  3. Click Account settings.
  4. In the left menu, click Account settings.
  5. Scroll down to "Quote settings" and toggle the following settings on or off based on your needs:
    • Require house rules: Turn this on to show the listing's house rules to the guest. The rules will only be displayed if the listing has house rules set up.
    • Require terms & conditions: Turn this on if you want the guest to read and agree to your terms & conditions. You must have a link to an existing agreement to paste.
    • Require payment method: Turn this off to send the quote without requiring the guest to enter their payment details. See the information above about manual payment collection if you disable this.

All future quotes will be sent according to the settings you choose.
