Reorganizing unit structure for Booking.com

Besides single units, Guesty supports multi-units and complexes as additional property types. Complexes must be linked between Guesty and Booking.com, and can't be published.

Multi-units:

A group of sub-units that are similar or identical in size and appearance. In the context of Booking.com, these sub-units are rooms of the same type, under one Hotel ID.

Instead of having 10 similar single units, or apartments, you can create one listing with an allotment of 10 sub-units in Guesty, as one multi-unit.

Complexes:

A hotel-like property with different types of room types at the same address (under the same Hotel ID).

A complex can be comprised of single units (with no "sub" units), multi-units (several sub-units of the same type), or a combination of these two.

You can reorganize your existing listings and turn a group of single units into a multi-unit, and turn a group of single units and/or multi-units into a complex. Follow the instructions below based on your unit restructuring needs.

Reorganizing into a multi-unit

Step by step:

  1. For every listing you want to group under a multi-unit, follow these instructions to remove the listing's current connection between Guesty and Booking.com. Once disconnected, you can rearrange it.
  2. Create a new multi-unit in Guesty, and connect the listings to the multi-unit:
    1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
    2. In the top-right corner, click the plus icon.
    3. Click New listing.
    4. Under "Listing Type", select Multi-unit.
    5. Under "Connection method", select Connect existing listings.
    6. In the field under "Connected listings", start typing the name of an existing listing.
    7. Select the relevant listing from the dropdown.
    8. Repeat steps 2 to 4 to connect all the additional listings.
