When a system issue interrupts automated messages or notifications, it's important to check that your guests and staff have received key information to keep your operations running smoothly. Use this guide to manually verify your communications and take any necessary actions.
Verify your automated messages for upcoming reservations
Check that your automated messages for upcoming check-ins and check-outs were sent successfully.
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
- Click Reservations.

Search for an existing reservation report for "Upcoming reservations".
Alternatively, create a custom reservation report for "Upcoming reservations":
- Click

- Search for the filter "Check-in".
- Select "Is in the future" from the dropdown.
- Click Save.
- Review each reservation to ensure the relevant automated message was sent:
- Toggle on Guest auto messages.
- Click on each reservation.
- Click the date under "Inbox" in the reservation bar.
- Click the automated message widget.
- Click History and verify the relevant automated message was sent.
- If a message is missing, send it manually via the Inbox.
- Repeat these steps for "Upcoming check-outs".
Verify your automated messages for reservations created today
Review reservations created today to confirm that booking confirmations and other initial messages were sent.
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
- Click Reservations.

Search for an existing reservation report for "Created: Is today".
Alternatively, create a custom reservation report or "Created: Is today".

- Search for the filter "Created".
- Scroll down and select "Is today" from the dropdown.
- Click Save.
- Review each reservation to ensure the relevant automated message was sent:
- Toggle on Guest auto messages.
- Click on each reservation.
- Click the date under "Inbox" in the reservation bar.
- Click the automated message widget.
- Click History and verify the automated message was sent.
- If a message is missing, send it manually via the Inbox.
Check your notifications and tasks
Check notifications and task updates. Review the following areas in your Guesty account:

Needs attention: Click
to navigate to the homepage and review the following under "Needs attention":

Same-day reservations: Confirm the property is ready and the guest has all the required check-in information.

Failed payments: Check for any failed payments.

Other payment notifications: From the reservation report page, select each reservation. In the top reservation bar, ensure there are no overdue payments.

Reservation inquiries: Click
to navigate to the Guesty Inbox and check for any new inquiries.

Reservation alterations: Create a custom reservation report for "Check-in: Is in the next 2 days" and "Check-out: Is in the next 2 days" to look for any changes.

Task updates: Contact your users, such as cleaners and maintenance staff, directly about new tasks or changes to existing ones.

Task status: Go to the tasks report and filter by today's tasks to see the latest updates on statuses, comments, and attachments.
