Switching the connection type with Booking.com: Common errors & troubleshooting

In case you encounter an error when trying to switch between a Full sync to a Rates & Availability sync for your Booking.com listing, use the table below.

The listing's connection type cannot be changed from "Rates & Availability" to "Full sync" because Guesty is not the Connectivity Provider for this listing on Booking.com. To change the connection type, first visit Booking.com’s extranet to set up Guesty as your Connectivity Provider. Learn here how to set Guesty as your listing's connectivity provider (refer to the first section only).
To change the connection type from "Rates & Availability" to "Full sync", first go to Booking.com's extranet to add the property manager's phone number to the listing. Update the info in your Booking.com Extranet account.
To change the connection type from "Rates & Availability" to "Full sync", first add a cancelation policy in Guesty's listing settings "Pricing & policies" tab.

You can either add a cancelation policy directly to a listing (*In Pilot) or create a rate plan and apply it to the listing (cancelation policy is included in the rate plan)

Guesty only supports one child policy rate per listing. To change the connection type from "Rates & Availability" to "Full sync", first go to Booking.com's extranet to remove all but one of the multiple child policy rates.

Update the info in your Booking.com Extranet account.

The connection type cannot be changed from "Rates & Availability" to "Full" sync because this listing is part of a complex in Guesty.

Switching a connection type is not supported for complexes. As a workaround, you can reorganize a complex into separate multi-units and single units. Learn more here.

To change the connection type from "Rates & Availability" to "Full sync", the listing's title in Guesty needs to meet Booking.com requirements.

 

for the following units: “Suite”, “Dormitory room” and “Villa", you need to mention the name of the unit type in the listing's title.
