Managing guest communications in the Guesty mobile app

Use the Guesty mobile app to stay connected with your guests. Access messages from a unified inbox, manage conversations across channels, and send replies.

To open the Inbox, tap Inbox icon at the bottom of the screen. You can also open a conversation directly from a reservation.

Identify the message source by the channel icon above the sender's initials.

Search the Inbox

Follow the steps below to locate a specific listing or guest using the search tool.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to the Guesty mobile app.
  2. At the top-right corner, tap the search icon.
  3. Enter the guest's name in the search box.
  4. Tap the guest's name on the list.

Filter the Inbox

Tap All conversations at the top of the screen to apply filters. Options include assignee, custom views, check-in/checkout status, confirmed reservations, or archived threads.

Manage conversations

Organize your Inbox with the options below.

Mark a conversation as unread

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to the Guesty mobile app.
  2. Tap Inbox icon.
  3. Tap the relevant conversation.
  4. In the top-right corner, tap kebab menu icon.
  5. Tap Mark as unread.

Archive a conversation

Step by step:

  1. Open the relevant conversation.
  2. In the top-right corner, tap kebab menu icon.
  3. Tap Archive.

To unarchive a conversation, open the archived message, tap , and select Un-archive.

Send a message

Follow the instructions below to communicate with guests through the booking channel, email, or SMS.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to the Guesty mobile app.
  2. Tap Inbox icon.
  3. Tap the relevant conversation.
  4. Tap the text box to type a message.
  5. Select the communication method (such as email, WhatsApp, or SMS) or add an internal note.
  6. Tap Send icon.

Note:

Messages in the mobile app do not display HTML formatting or clickable hyperlinks. Send messages with HTML formatting via the desktop Inbox.

Send a saved reply

Follow the steps below to use saved replies to communicate efficiently. Confirm that you have created a saved reply before following the steps below.

Step by step:

  1. Open the conversation.
  2. Tap Saved reply icon to the left of the text box.
  3. Select Saved replies.
  4. Choose the reply and tap Send icon.

View reservation details

Access listing, reservation, or guest details directly from the conversation.

Step by step:

  1. Tap the relevant conversation.
  2. In the top-right corner, tap kebab menu icon.
  3. Select Reservation, Property, or Guest.

Assign a conversation

Follow the steps below to assign a conversation thread to a specific team member.

Step by step:

  1. Tap the relevant conversation.
  2. In the top-right corner, tap kebab menu icon.
  3. Tap Assign and select the team member.

Manage automated messages

View sent messages or cancel upcoming scheduled messages.

Step by step:

  1. Tap the relevant conversation.
  2. In the top-right corner, tap kebab menu icon.
  3. Select Automated messages.
  4. View upcoming messages under Scheduled and sent messages under History.
  5. In the Scheduled tab, toggle off a specific message to cancel it. To cancel all scheduled messages, toggle off All guest auto messages.

Call a guest

Call guests using the phone number saved in their details. The call connects via your mobile provider outside of the Guesty app.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to the Guesty mobile app.
  2. Tap Inbox icon or select the reservation from the Multi-Calendar.
  3. Tap the relevant reservation.
  4. Scroll to the Guests section.
  5. Tap the Phone icon next to the guest's name.
  6. Tap the phone number to start the call.
