What are Guesty's fees for canceled reservations?

When a reservation is canceled, Guesty may charge cancellation fees for users billed on a percentage basis. Read more below.

Note:

The cancelation fee is charged on the next billing date after the reservation is canceled, regardless of the original check-in date and whether it is the minimum fee of 3 USD or the full percentage.

If a reservation originating from the above booking channels is canceled, a fee is charged based on whether the host or the guest canceled the reservation. See the information below.
  • Guest canceled the reservation:
    A percentage fee is charged according to the rates in your Guesty agreement. This is calculated based on the reservation's gross host payout.
  • Host canceled the reservation:
    3 USD.

Misterb&b

The cancellation fee for Misterb&b reservations is one of the following - whichever is higher.
  • 3 USD fee, or;
  • A percentage fee is calculated according to the rates in your Guesty agreement. This is calculated based on the reservation's gross host payout.

Rentals United

Due to a lack of data received for canceled reservations from Rentals United, the following cancellation fees apply to reservations from all booking channels received via Rentals United.
  • If canceled before check-in:
    3 USD fee.
  • If canceled after check-in:
    A percentage fee is calculated according to the rates in your Guesty agreement. This is calculated based on the reservation's gross host payout

Note:

Rentals United will not always update Guesty on the new financial breakdown of a reservation, upon cancellation. If Rentals United does update Guesty with this information, the billing will be updated accordingly.

Guesty Website

Reservations made via your Guesty Website can be canceled in Guesty. The cancellation fee is one of the following - whichever is higher.
  • 3 USD fee, or;
  • A percentage fee is calculated according to the rates in your Guesty agreement. This is calculated based on the reservation's gross host payout

Manual Guesty reservations | Booking Engine | Booking Engine API | Google Vacation Rentals

Reservations created manually in Guesty can only be canceled by the host. The cancellation fee is one of the following - whichever is higher.
  • 3 USD fee, or;
  • A percentage fee is calculated according to the rates in your Guesty agreement. This is calculated based on the reservation's gross host payout

Note:

This is relevant to booking channels such as HVMB, Hopper, Plum Guide, Whimstay, HomeToGo, Travelstaytion, bnbfinder, Homelike, Housestay, Invenio Homes, LekkeSlaap, Rentalz.com, VacayHome Connect, VillaTracker, Trip.com, Reconline CIH, Feratel, Roibos, Szallas, Travia/Reserva.is.

There is no option to cancel reservations in Guesty and thus no cancellation fees charged by Guesty. Please contact the individual channel's customer support for assistance.
