An auto payment was not charged

After setting up auto payment rules, auto payments will be created once the reservation is in "confirmed" status.

Auto payments are processed in batch at hourly intervals, usually around seven minutes after the hour. Guesty attempts to process a payment three times before the transaction is moved to "Failed" status. If a charge attempt fails, another attempt is made at the next hourly processing batch.  That means that an auto payment may be in pending status for up to three hours.

If an auto payment was not charged, it could be for two reasons: The reservation was confirmed after the hourly processing batch, or the auto payment attempt failed.

Reservation confirmed after hourly processing batch

If you have a rule that charges the payment "at confirmation," the actual charge will take place at the next hourly batch.

For example, a reservation is confirmed at 11:25, and the next hourly processing batch is at 12:07. In this case, the auto payment will be pending for 42 minutes.

Auto payment charge attempt failed

If the auto payment charge attempt failed three times, the transaction is considered "Failed." Contact the guest to collect an updated payment method and charge the payment manually.
