Setting up communication with Airbnb's support team via Guesty

When connecting an Airbnb account to Guesty, you have the option to replace your Airbnb email address with your new Guesty integration email address. The integration email acts as a forwarding address to Guesty, and will open the flow of communication between Guesty and Airbnb Support — without affecting the communication with the guest.

You can use your integration email for:

  • Your Airbnb login credentials
  • Communicate with Airbnb Support via Guesty
  • Receive Airbnb account-related notifications in your Guesty Inbox

Tip:

You can use both your personal email and your Guesty integration email to contact Airbnb support, as well as, to receive emails from Airbnb Support and Airbnb's Trust and Safety team.

Below we'll discuss the process for how to set up communication with Airbnb Support via Guesty:

  1. Start by setting up your Guesty integration email in Airbnb (by adding it to your Airbnb account).
    Once this is set up, you'll receive certain notifications directly in the Guesty Inbox. This also includes responses from future conversations you initiate with Airbnb support in Airbnb.
  2. From there, you can view the notifications and messages sent from Airbnb's Support Team via the Guesty Inbox, and respond via the Inbox, as well.

 

Setting up your Guesty integration email to contact Airbnb Support

Follow the instructions below to replace your Airbnb email address with your Guesty integration email in Airbnb.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Airbnb account.
  2. In the top right corner, click the profile icon.
  3. From the drop-down, click Account.
  4. Click the Personal info thumbnail.
  5. Next to Email Address, click Edit.
  6. Replace the original email address with your @user.guesty.com email address.

    Note:

    Emails with diacritic or accents aren't supported in the integration email.

  7. Click Save.

 

Airbnb Channel Inbox in Guesty

Important:

Make sure your Airbnb account email has been replaced with your Guesty integration email. This is what enables the flow of communication between the Airbnb messaging platform and Guesty.

You can easily keep track of communication with the Airbnb Support Team via Guesty.

Once you initiate a new conversation with Airbnb, responses from response@airbnb.com will be sent to the Airbnb Channel Inbox (if you have an additional forwarding email address set up, it will also be sent to that email).

Follow the instructions below to communicate with response@airbnb.com from the Inbox.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top menu, click .
  3. In the left-side menu, click the Airbnb Channel Inbox icon the Airbnb Channel Inbox icon.
  4. Click the relevant conversation to open the message.
  5. You'll see either a notification (image on the left) or a message to reply to (image on the right).

    Note:

    Some messages require you to reply on Airbnb. In this case, click the Reply button to view the full message and respond in Airbnb.
