Forwarding booking channel account notifications to your personal email

Some booking channels might occasionally send you account-related emails (e.g., password reset emails, messages from their Support team, etc.).

To receive account-related notifications to your preferred email address, add a forwarding email address directly in Guesty.

The following booking channels support this capability:

  • Booking.com (Pro users only)
  • Airbnb (Pro users only)
  • Expedia (Pro users only)
  • Vrbo

Keep in mind, your Guesty integration email syncs guest messages for specific booking channels and may send you reservation-related notifications — meaning it's not relevant to account-related notifications.

Adding or editing your forwarding email address via Guesty

Follow the instructions below to set a forwarding email address for the relevant booking channels. If needed, you can add multiple email addresses.

Airbnb and Booking.com (Pro users only)

For Airbnb, emails for all reservations associated with the account will be forwarded to Guesty. This includes reservations for unconnected listings (belonging to the same connected account).

Follow the instructions below to update your forwarding email address for Airbnb and/or Booking.com account-related notifications.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
  3. Click Distribution.
  4. Click either the Airbnb thumbnail or Booking.com thumbnail (depending on which channel you'd like to set up your notifications for).
  5. Click the Settings icon located in the far-right column (for the relevant Airbnb or Booking.com account).
  6. In the pop-up, enter the email address under "Forwarding email".
    • To replace or remove an existing email address, you can remove it (click Trash icon) and enter a new one.
    • To add a new or additional email address, click Add email, and fill in the relevant information.
  7. Click Save.
  8. If needed, refresh/reload the web page to view the updated email address.

Expedia (Pro users only)

Follow the instructions below to update your forwarding email address for Expedia notifications.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
  3. Click Distribution.
  4. Click the Expedia thumbnail.
  5. At the top left side of the page, click the Settings icon.
  6. In the pop-up, enter the email address under "Forwarding email".
    1. To replace or remove an existing email address, you can delete it and enter a new one in the field.
    2. If needed, click Add to enter additional forwarding email addresses.
  7. Click Save.
  8. If needed, refresh/reload the web page to view the updated email address.

Vrbo

Vrbo sends account-related notifications to the primary email address in your Vrbo account. Account-related notifications can include updates on your Vrbo account status or Vrbo support emails.

Follow the instructions below to send these account notifications to an additional email address.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Vrbo account.
  2. Click My account.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select Account settings.
  4. Click Account information.
  5. Under Account holder, add the desired email address in the "Email 3" field.
  6. Click Save changes.
  7. Add the relevant email address in the "Contacts" section of each listing.

Important:

Don't replace the integration email address in the "Email 2" field, since this field enables the flow of guest communication between Vrbo and Guesty.
