Setting the listing house rules

You can set up a listing's house rules in Guesty, such as "Is smoking allowed?" and "Are pets allowed?" to help set expectations with potential guests. After the house rules are set up, you can include them in the quotes you send to your guests.

Learn which channels sync the house rules.

Note the following channel information:

Airbnb users:

  • You can add verification requirements to your listing's house rules that guests must meet to make instant bookings for your listings, including presenting a verified Government-issued ID, and recommendations from other hosts.
  • Pro users (In Beta) You can add your listing's safety considerations in the "Guest Safety" section, such as if there are security cameras near the property, or if guests must climb stairs.
  • The "Quiet Hours" field won't sync from Guesty to Airbnb.  To add "Quiet Hours", you need to change your data sync settings to "Limited".
  • If the "The property is suitable for infants and/or children" toggle is switched off,  an "Explain why" field will pop up. This field syncs with Airbnb only.
  • Airbnb users: House rules content must follow Airbnb's content policy

Vrbo users:

Only the first 150 characters of a listing's house rules will sync with Vrbo.
