Handling Booking.com sub-unit linking blocks

Sub-units are individual rental units that make up a multi-unit property in Guesty. They're identical or similar units grouped together under a main property, for example, six standard double rooms in an apartment block would each be considered a sub-unit of one multi-unit property. A multi-unit can contain up to 100 sub-units.

Each sub-unit shares the same booking terms, pricing, minimum night requirements, and amenities as its parent multi-unit, though minor variations can exist between units.

Guesty blocks converting a single unit to a sub-unit if the listing is connected to Booking.com to prevent calendar sync issues.

Follow the instructions below to link a sub-unit for a Booking.com property.

Step by step:

  1. Disconnect the listing in Guesty
  2. Remove the listing's connection with Booking.com.
  3. Navigate to the relevant multi-unit and create a new sub-unit:
    1. In your Guesty account, click icon Properties in the side navigation menu.
    2. Click the relevant multi-unit property.
    3. In the left submenu, under "Details & layout", click Multi-unit settings.
    4. Click Edit.
    5. Under "Assign Listings", click Select listings.
    6. Under the "Unassigned" tab, select the listings you want to assign to the multi-unit.
    7. Click Done.
    8. Click Save.
  4. Ensure Guesty is configured as the connectivity provider for the listing.
