Switching between rates & availability sync and full sync for Booking.com listings

The information in this article is relevant only for Pro users at this time.

After you connect your Booking.com listings to Guesty, either by linking or publishing, the listings' data will be synced between the two platforms. 

For published listings, the default type of data sync with Booking.com is set to full sync, while for linked listings, the default is set to rates & availability sync only. See the information below about the two types of data sync ("connection type"), and how can you switch them.

Note:

  • It may take up to 4 hours to change the connection type.
  • If you encountered an error when trying to change the connection type, click here
  • Complexes cannot be published from Guesty to Booking.com, they must be linked instead. Therefore, complexes can only be supported on the rates & availability sync type. You won't be able to switch a complex listing from rates & availability to full sync.

All the mentioned data in the lists below (under "Rates & availability sync", and "Full sync") should be managed in Guesty. Any changes to these types of data in Guesty will be pushed to Booking.com, replacing the existing information in Booking.com.

Data types that are not listed in the lists below should be managed in Booking.com.

Switching the data connection type 

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector, then select Growth mode.
  3. Click Distribution.
  4. Click the Booking.com thumbnail.
  5. In the Booking.com dashboard, locate the relevant listing's row. Under "Connection type", hover over the name of the current connection ("Rates&Availability" / "Full Sync"), and click the pencil icon ( ).
  6. In the pop-up window, mark the checkbox of the connection type you'd like to set for the listing.

  7. Click Next.
  8. In the next screen, click Change connection type.

    In the dashboard, under "Connection type", the text will be changed to "Processing..".

    Once the change is done, the text will be changed to the name of the altered connection type, with a green V next to it. It may take up to 4 hours to switch the connection type.
