Connecting Trip.com to Guesty

You can link complex listings to Trip.com and manage them directly in Guesty. Once linked, the listings' availability, rates, and inventory (ARI) sync across both platforms.

Before you begin

Review the following important information before connecting your accounts:

  • Trip.com account: You must have a Trip.com account before initiating the setup.
  • Hotel IDs: After creating the account on Trip.com, contact your Trip.com account manager or support team to connect the relevant Hotel IDs to the Guesty/YieldPlanet provider.
  • Credentials: Confirm with your Trip.com account manager or support team that your login and password credentials are valid for establishing an API integration with Guesty/Yieldplanet. These credentials may differ from those used to access your Trip.com dashboard.
  • Complexes only:Trip.com supports only complex-type properties, not single-units. Ensure your property is set up accordingly before proceeding.

Limitations

Keep these limitations in mind when connecting Trip.com to Guesty:

  • Additional listings: You must create additional listings in both Guesty and Trip.com and link them. You can’t create new listings in Guesty for Trip.com.
  • Syncing:
    • Only ARI and reservation details sync between Guesty and Trip.com. Content such as fees, amenities, and listing descriptions must be managed on Trip.com. For more information, learn about managing your listings, reservations, and guest communication after connecting to Trip.com.
    • Rate plans: Only base price adjustments and minimum or maximum stay settings sync between Guesty and Trip.com. Cancellation policies and other advanced rate plan settings must be managed on Trip.com.

Connecting a Guesty complex to a Trip.com Hotel ID

Follow these steps to connect a listing to Trip.com, or watch our video. Repeat the process for each complex you want to connect.

Step by step:

  1. In Trip.com, create the relevant room types of each Hotel ID and assign the corresponding rate plans.
  2. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  3. Create a complex listing that matches each Hotel ID in Trip.com. Ensure the currency in Guesty matches the currency in Trip.com
  4. Assign at least one rate plan to each room type in Guesty, ensuring that your rate plans in Guesty correspond to those in Trip.com
  5. When you finish, in the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
  6. Click Distribution.
  7. Select the Trip.com thumbnail.
  8. In the "Verify account" step, enter your Trip.com login credentials provided by your Trip.com account manager or support team.
  9. Link each complex in Guesty to its matching Hotel ID in Trip.com.
  10. Map each room type and rate plan in Guesty to its corresponding room type and rate plan in Trip.com. You can skip this step and return to it later via the integration page.

  11. After completing the connection process, click Continue to dashboard.

Note:

  • Rate plans make your listing sellable and searchable on Trip.com. If you connect a room type but don’t map any rate plan associated with it, the room type won't be live on the channel.
  • Rate plans can't be assigned in bulk and must be added manually for each unit type.

Your mapped rate plans will automatically resume being sellable on Trip.com. You can track each listing’s connection status and rate plans mapping.

The integration page will display the listings under each complex as they appear in Trip.com, even if they aren't connected in Guesty.

In progress - The listing has been linked to the channel, and it is now pending the successful completion of the connection process.

Completed - The listing is connected to the channel, and at least one rate plan has been mapped. The connection is active.

Not started - The channel's listing hasn’t been linked to any listing in Guesty (the listing isn't connected).

In the "Rate plans mapped" column, click to view the details of your rate plan mapping and make changes if needed.

Connecting new complexes

You can connect additional Hotel IDs to Guesty at any time. Simply click Connect listings in the top-right corner of your Trip.com integration page, then follow the instructions in the connection setup.

Disconnecting complexes

To make your listing unsellable on Trip.com, disconnect all the listing's rate plans. There is no option to remove a connection between a Guesty complex and a Trip.com Hotel ID. If you need to entirely remove the connection, contact your Trip.com account manager and ask to disconnect Guesty/YieldPlanet as a provider to your account on Trip.com.
