Overriding a listing’s existing prices and minimum nights using a rate strategy

When you assign a listing to a rate strategy, you can choose whether to override any adjustments previously made to the price per night or the minimum number of nights per stay.

This includes adjustments made by any of the following tools:

When the override is made, the values of the price per night and minimum nights per stay will be adjusted based on the rate strategy rule(s) applied. You can use the override to restore these values back to the listing's default base price and minimum nights, as mentioned below.

Overriding the price per night or minimum nights per stay values cannot be undone.

Note:

If you want to override previous adjustments to the price per night or minimum nights by an existing rate strategy, unassign and reassign the relevant listing from it. The override screen will then appear.

Follow the instructions below.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
  3. Click Revenue management and select Rate strategy.
  4. Select an existing rate strategy, or create a new one.
    • If the listing is already assigned to the rate strategy and you'd like to re-apply it, unassign the listing from the rate strategy.
    • To restore the price per night or minimum nights per stay to the listing's default values, keep the rule's "Minimum nights" and "Base price adjustment" fields empty (see below).

  5. At the top right, click Assign listings.
  6. Click Unassigned, and select the relevant listing(s) from the dropdown.
  7. Tick the Override checkbox, then click Assign.
  8. In the pop-up, select the relevant checkboxes. Then, click Yes, override.
  9. Click Assign.

The overriding will be applied to the Guesty calendars immediately. It may take up to 1 hour for the updates to sync with your connected booking channels.
