You can use a rate strategy to override previous adjustments made to a listing's price per night or minimum nights.
The override applies to manual adjustments made via the calendar and third-party tools adjustments. Also, GPO adjustments will get overridden this once, but remember that GPO updates the listing's price per night every 24 hours (we thus recommend not combining a rate strategy with GPO).
The override can be made when assigning a listing to a rate strategy, and for any listing that is already assigned to a rate strategy.
When the override is made, the values of the price per night and minimum nights per stay will be adjusted based on the rate strategy rule(s) applied. You can also use the override to restore these values to the listing's default base price and default minimum nights, as mentioned below.
Overriding the price per night or minimum nights per stay values cannot be undone.
Follow the instructions below.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
- Click Revenue management and select Rate strategy.
- Select an existing rate strategy, or create a new one.
- To restore the price per night or minimum nights per stay to the listing's default values, keep the rule's "Minimum nights" and "Base price adjustment" fields empty (see below).
- At the top right, click Assign listings.
- If the listing is not assigned to the rate strategy, select it from the “Unassigned” tab.
- If the listing is already assigned to a rate strategy, and you want to use the override, select it from the "Assigned" tab.
- Tick the Override checkbox to override price/minimum night adjustments made to the listing.
-
In the pop-up, select whether to override price adjustments, minimum nights, or both. Then, click Yes, override.
The overriding will be applied to the Guesty calendars immediately. It may take up to 1 hour for the updates to sync with your connected booking channels.
