Listings error message: This address was not saved because it couldn't be located

Each listing in Guesty has two types of addresses: the listing address and the published address. The listing address is the actual, geographical, address, and the published address is the address that is displayed to potential guests on the connected booking channels, for example.
When you enter a listing address in Guesty, we rely on Google Maps for recognition. If the address you are trying to save is not recognized and you get an error message saying "this address was not saved because it couldn't be located", see our troubleshooting below:
  • Check if you added a unit/apartment number. That could be what Google Maps was unable to recognize. If so, you can enter the building address instead and provide the exact unit/apartment number in the listing's description fields or the check-in instructions sent to the guest for reservations booked at that listing.
  • If you want to save the unrecognized address, follow the instructions below:
    1. If the listing does not have a published address, you will need to save one first. Follow these instructions and then try to save the unrecognized listing address again.
    2. When the error message appears, activate the checkbox and click Confirm.
The address will be saved in Guesty but will not appear in connected booking channels. If you want it to appear in the channels, contact us with the details below. If the listing is already connected to a booking channel, contact them to update the address directly in the channel, after we confirm that the address has been successfully updated in Guesty:
