You can gather information about a guest's stay by sending them a check-in form before their arrival. Ensure that the form is completed in advance of check-in by automatically sending reminders to relevant guests. Follow the instructions below to create reminders via message automations.
Tip:
Create a setup similar to the automated message that is used to send out the check-in forms. For example, if the check-in form is only being sent for reservations from certain booking channels, ensure that this reminder message follows a similar setup.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the side navigation menu, click
Operations to open the dropdown menu. - Under Front desk, select Message automation.
- At the top right, click Add message automation.
- Click Show advanced best practices at the bottom of the pop-up.
- Select a template with a "check-in form" tag. These templates include the check-in form condition in the relevant automated message.
- Use the options on the left to set which reservations the automated message will be applied to.
- Click on the relevant step in the message automation to customize an automated message within it.
- toggle Activate to apply the automated message.
