When you create your Guesty Booking Engine, you select which properties to include, exclude, or configure as a featured property. You can update your selected properties as needed.

Follow the instructions below to configure which properties display in your Guesty Booking Engine.

Prerequisites and limitations

  • Only active and listed properties can be added.
  • Only listed properties display. Properties unlisted from booking channels don't appear in you Booking Engine.
  • The Guesty Booking Engine supports bookable properties for multi-units and single-units.

    Limitations:

    • Complexes: Can be added, but aren't available for direct booking.
    • Multi-units: Only the main unit can be added, and guests can only book the main unit. When a reservation is received, it is assigned to an available sub-unit.
  • If you set your Guesty Booking Engine to include "All" properties, new properties you create are added automatically. You can change these settings at any time.

Add properties in your Guesty Booking Engine

When you add properties, they appear in your Guesty Booking Engine search results for guests to book. Follow the instructions below to include properties to display in your Booking Engine.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
  3. Click Distribution.
  4. Click the Guesty Booking Engine thumbnail.
  5. In the relevant booking engine row, click the Pencil icon under “Assigned properties”.
  6. In the side panel, choose an option:
    • All: Include all current properties. You can exclude specific properties with the "Exclude Properties" option.
    • Specific properties: Manually select which properties to include. To add more properties, click Unassigned and check the relevant boxes of the properties you want to include.
    • Assign by rule: Use filters to automatically add current and future properties. You can exclude specific properties with the "Exclude Properties" option.
  7. Click Done to save changes.

The destination dropdown in your Guesty Booking Engine search syncs automatically with the cities assigned to your booking engine listings.

Note:

  • Properties created as "unlisted" or "inactive" don'tappear in your Guesty Booking Engine. 
  • New properties may not be assigned automatically, depending on your selection. If a property doesn't appear, review your Guesty Booking Engine settings. Be sure to click Done to apply changes.

Exclude properties from the booking engine

You can exclude specific properties from your Guesty Booking Engine to ensure certain listings don't appear in your Guesty Booking Engine, even when applying "All" or "Assign by rule" selections.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
  3. Click Distribution.
  4. Click the Guesty Booking Engine thumbnail.
  5. In the relevant booking engine row, click the Pencil icon under “Assigned properties”.
  6. Click Exclude Properties. This option is only available for properties assigned to "All" and "assigned by rule" 
  7. Check the boxes for the relevant properties you want to exlude.
  8. Click B to apply  changes.

Tip:

Use "Exclude Properties" to quickly remove specific listings from your Guesty Booking Engine without changing your general assignment rules.

Excluded properties won't display in your Guesty Booking Engine search results or on your Guesty Website, even if included in general assignment rules. Review your exclusions if a property doesn't appear as expected.

Display featured properties

Showcase your best listings on your booking engine homepage with the "Featured Properties" section. Use this feature to highlight select properties and increase their visibility.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
  3. Click Distribution.
  4. Click the Guesty Booking Engine thumbnail.
  5. Clicknext to the relevant Booking Engine, and select Edit booking engine.
  6. In the left menu, click Select properties.
  7. Under "Featured properties (optional)", click Select properties

    You can select up to 30 properties from your active listings using one of the assignment options:

    • All: Include all properties. You can exclude specific listings if needed.
    • Specific properties: Manually select properties. Assigned properties appear under "Assigned". To add more, click Unassigned and tick their checkboxes.
    • Assign by rule: Use filters to select properties. You can exclude listings if needed.
  8. Toggle on Show featured properties section.
  9. Add a custom title (up to 50 characters) and a description (up to 300 characters).
  10. In the left-side menu, click Languages to navigate to the last action.
  11. Click Save Booking Engine to apply your changes.
