Your Guesty sending email address is visible to guests in the "from" field of your email. By default, it ends in @user.guesty.com and is unique per channel. To better represent your business and enhance your brand, you can customize this address in two ways, depending on the booking channel:
- Change the prefix of your existing sending email address, such as happystays@user.guesty.com. This change doesn't require DNS setup.
- "White-label" your sending email address with a custom domain.
Important:
To receive guest replies in existing conversations, you must update active conversation threads after your sending email address is updated in Guesty.

Set up a custom domain
Replace your sending email address with a custom domain to send branded messages to your guests. This change requires configuration of your domain's DNS records to ensure your messages are not flagged as spam.
Follow these steps to create or change a domain-related email address to replace your existing Guesty sending email address.
Step by step:
- Choose your new domain. Buy a new domain, such as mydomain.com, or create a subdomain under an existing domain that isn't currently used for email services, such as info.mydomain.com.
- We recommend using a subdomain. Guesty takes full control of all email traffic for a main domain after the white-labeling process is complete.
- Only use a main domain if it is used exclusively in Guesty.
- Create your new email address. After creating a domain or subdomain, your email address(es) are formatted accordingly. For example, if your subdomain is info.mydomain.com, your email address formats as name@info.mydomain.com.
- Contact us with the new domain or subdomain and email address to use as your new sending email address.
- Review the PDF instructions we send once the new domain is ready. Add the routing information to your DNS provider's site to verify the following:
- Ability to send emails
- Ability to receive emails
-
Ability to track who opened and clicked your emails
You may be asked to update specific data on your DNS provider's site again if the subdomain fails validation.
- Contact us once you complete the steps above.
After we update your sender or reply-to email address, the new address applies automatically to all new reservations and future automated messages. Messages sent before the change display your old email address, and messages sent after display the new one.
Update active conversation threads
After your sending email address is updated in Guesty, complete this final step to ensure guests can reply to existing conversations.
Send one new message per reservation and affected channel. For example, send a check-in email to current guests and a welcome email to future confirmed guests. Until you send a new message to an active thread, you won't receive guest replies from that thread.
