Both the Reservation Duplicate Detector and the Calendar Conflict Detector both scan your reservations for issues, but look for different problems and produce different outputs. Use this guide to understand when each agent applies and how they work together.

Decide when to use each agent
The difference comes down to the dates.
The Reservation Duplicate Detector only catches bookings with the exact same check-in and check-out dates. That is the classic sign of one guest booking the same stay twice, usually on two different channels.
The Calendar Conflict Detector handles everything else: bookings that share some nights but not all. For example, one booking from the 14th to the 17th and another from the 16th to the 20th. Cases like these usually mean two different guests are booked on the same nights. Decide which reservation to keep.
