Guesty's auto-decline process for Request to Book reservations protects your response rate and helps you maintain your host status, such as Airbnb Superhost or Vrbo Premium Host.
To ensure guests receive a timely response and your account remains in good standing, Guesty automatically declines pending Request to Book reservation requests that near expiration without manual intervention.
When a Request to Book reservation is received, it is assigned "Reserved" status. If you take no action, Guesty automatically declines the reservation, changes the status to "Expired", and notifies the guest.
Each booking channel requires you to manually approve or decline these requests within a specific window as follows:
- Airbnb: Respond to the request at least 23 hours and 50 minutes before it expires.
- Vrbo: Respond to the "Quote and Hold" request within 42 hours before it expires.
- Other booking channels: Respond to the request within 24 hours before it expires.
