The Owners by Guesty app allows property owners to access their Owners Portal directly from their mobile devices, rather than having to open it in a web browser.
The app provides the same functionality that owners enjoy on their usual Owners Portal with no limitations.
Understand portal names
The portal name is the first part of your owner portal URL, which you can edit in the default owner portal settings. For example, if your portal URL is "bestpmc.guestyowners.com," then "bestpmc" is your portal name.
If you change your portal's default URL, all owners will need the new portal name to log in. We recommend bulk-selecting all owners and sending a new portal invite.
Invite owners
Follow the steps below to invite both new and existing owners to use the app.
Step by step
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
- Click Owners.
- Select relevant owners from the list.
- At the bottom, click Send invite to portal.
- In the pop-up, click Send invite.
An invite is sent to selected owners, containing the portal name.
Direct owners to download the app
Owners can discover the app in two ways:
- Upon signing up in the web browser, Owners will be encouraged to download the app or continue with the browser.
- If the user continues in the browser, they will see a banner that encourages them to download.
Owners can download the app for iOS and Android.
When owners first open the app, they'll need to enter the portal name provided in the invitation you sent to sign in.
About mobile notifications
The app uses push notifications to keep owners updated in real-time. To receive alerts, owners must download the latest version of the app and enable notifications in their phone settings.
Notifications are sent for:
- New announcements on the portal dashboard
- New reservation reports
- New documents added to the portal
- New owner statements (Accounting users only)
- New Owner 1099s (Accounting users only)
