Salto locks are supported by Guesty Locks Manager (GLM), enabling you to create and manage temporary access codes for your guests. However, Salto locks behave differently from other lock providers.
Requirements
- To connect your Salto locks to Guesty Locks Manager, you must have a Salto subscription.
- Set the activation time in Guesty up to four hours before check-in.
- Set up automated messages to send codes closer to check-in time, as Salto KS generates codes three days before check-in to reduce the risk of guest lockout.
- Toggle off Expiration settings so team member codes don't expire. Salto randomly generates and syncs the codes to Guesty Locks Manager within 20 minutes, so you can't customize them.
Limitations
- Salto locks don't support common doors.
- Lock codes are created randomly by Salto rather than by Guesty Locks Manager, and you can view them in Guesty Locks Manager only once they are activated.
- Early check-ins and late check-outs don't trigger a code update if the code is already active.
- New codes appear up to four hours before check-in.
- You can't use Salto alongside any other lock provider within the same property.
Guesty Locks Manager currently supports only Salto lock models that have a keypad and support code generation.
