Advanced Website: Adding a SEO Search Results widget

The information in this article is relevant only for Pro users at this time. For information about booking websites for Lite users, refer to the Guesty Booking Engine

The SEO Search Results widget is a tool to showcase a selection of your properties to potential guests, making them more visible in Google’s search results and increasing their booking potential. This widget highlights a group of your properties based on specific criteria, such as amenities, property type, and location. We recommend adding the widget to a dedicated page with a distinct URL (i.e., a landing page). Alternatively, you can add it to your Guesty Advanced Website home page.

For example, you can create a page for your Amsterdam properties with pools and balconies. To enhance the page's searchability (SEO ranking), you can add a prominent title like "Poolside apartments in Amsterdam". Additionally, providing visitors with filtering and sorting options will help them easily find the property that meets their needs. When visitors search the web for poolside apartments in Amsterdam, they are more likely to encounter this page, ultimately driving them to your website. You can create as many of these pages as you like on your Guesty Website, ensuring that your diverse range of properties is easy to find.

When visitors click on a property in the widget, they’ll be redirected to your Guesty Booking Engine, where they can easily book the property. If they filter or sort the results, they’ll be led to a filtered view of your properties that matches their selection.

We recommend combining the SEO Search Results widget with the Booking Search Bar widget and the Featured Properties widget on a dedicated landing page in the following way:

Booking Search Bar widget

In booking channels across the industry, a search bar is commonly placed at the top of a results page, allowing guests to easily make a reservation. You can prepopulate the search bar fields to match the content of your landing page. For example, at the top of your "Poolside apartments in Amsterdam" page, the search bar's location field can be filtered to "Amsterdam".

Featured Properties widget

Below the search bar, you can add the Featured Properties widget. With the widget, you can highlight your top properties in a prominent section of the landing page. For instance, you can feature your luxurious properties in Paris at the top of your Poolside Amsterdam landing page, making these properties always stand out.

Beneath, add a prominent title ("Poolside apartments in Amsterdam"), and right below it, add the SEO Search Results widget.

Alternatively, add the SEO Search Results widget to a page without the other widgets. Simply drag and drop the widget icon into the desired location on the page.

Follow the instructions below to add the SEO Search Results widget to your Guesty Website.
