Guesty provides tools to help you quickly search for a message automation, as well as view any changes made over time. Follow the instructions below to learn how to search for a specific message automation and review the activity log to track updates, ensuring you have full control over your automations.
Searching for a message automation
The name you assign to a message automation will only be used in Guesty to help you identify the template—it won't be visible to guests. You can search for any messaging automation you created in the search bar on the "Messaging automation" page.
Follow the steps below:
Step by step
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
- Click Automations, and select Messages.
- In the message automations page, you can find the dedicated search bar and a set of filters that can help you pinpoint your search.
- In the search bar, you can write the title (or a part of the title) and the relevant automation will appear in the list.
- A set of filters is also available for use. You can filter them by "Trigger", "Properties", "City", "Tags", "Channels", "Advance Notice", "Length of stay" and "Status".
Once a set of filters is used, the relevant automation appears in the result.
Viewing changes made to a message automation
If you need to check which user made changes to your message automation and automated messages, the activity log provides you all the information you need. You can view, for example, the timestamp for the changes, the "old" and "new" versions of the automated message, and the name of the user who performed these changes.
Below are some of the following changes/updates the activity log will display:
- Who created a message automation
- Who edited an automated message
- Who activated pr deactivated an automated message

- Click Activity log.
- Scroll down to see the entire activity log.
