Revenue share in owner statements

Accounting by Guesty is a premium feature available to Pro users only. Please contact us to discuss activating it.

When viewing an owner statement, the figures are calculated according to your business model. By default, when creating a business model, the net rental income is the accommodation fare only:

You have the option to include fees and channel commission in the net rental income as shown below.

When channel commission is included in the net rental income formula, the amount is subtracted as an expense, thereby decreasing the net rental income amount.

Including the channel commission also affects the PMC commission amount, as this is calculated on a lower net rental income amount.

Tip:

For a clear breakdown, switch to the updated version of the owner statement template.

Channel commission included in the net rental income

When the net rental income includes the accommodation fare, (+) cleaning fee, (-) channel commission, it's calculated as follows:

$480 accommodation fare + $20 cleaning fee = $500

$500 x 10% channel commission = $50

$500 - $50 = $450 net rental income calculation

$450 x 20% PMC commission = $90

Net amount to owner = $360

Channel commission not included in the net rental income

When the channel commission is not included, net rental income and the PMC commission are calculated as follows:

$480 accommodation fare + $20 cleaning fee = $500

$500 net rental income calculation

$500 x 20% PMC commission = $100

Net amount to owner = $350

The channel commission amount, and the amount to owner before the management fee is deducted, are the same as in the previous example:

$500 x 10% channel commission = $50

$500 - $50 = $450 amount to owner
