Vikey is an innovative technology that gives hosts the chance to open both their building entrance and their apartment door directly from their smartphone. Follow the instructions below to connect Vikey to Guesty.
Copy the Guesty API key
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Setup mode.
- Click Integrations, then select Marketplace.
- On the Vikey thumbnail, click Connect.
- In the top right corner, click Connect.
- Click the API key to copy it.
- Click Ok.

Step by step:
- Sign in to your Vikey account.
- Paste the API Key in the relevant field.
Important:
After confirmation, your guest will receive an email to download the Vikey app. They will need to complete the check-in through the app.
Sharing key codes with guests
In order to share the key codes with your guests you must set up Automated Messages that include the code variable. Follow the steps below.

Create or edit an automated message to send to guests based on reservation confirmation or check-in. See more information here.
- Schedule at least 20 minutes after reservation confirmation to allow time for the variable to populate.
- In your message content, use the variable {{key_code}}. See more information here.
